Travel and Stay in Scotland

A big big thank you!

To all of our lovely friends and family that attended our wedding in Edinburgh! Thank you for making our day extra special and for celebrating the mark of our new journey with us. We had people that traveled from London, America, Canada, Indonesia, Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Gurrock, and all over the place which warmed both of our hearts.

A special thank you to our friends and family that watched the livestream of the ceremony too! We wished we could have celebrated our special day with everyone, and hoped the livestream brought you a little closer to us.

You can watch the recorded livestream here.

The Venue

We will be tying the knot at Melville Castle, a historic building that has been now turned into a hotel and wedding venue. The building itself was built sometime in the end of the 18th century and was designed from 1786-1791 by James Playfair. The original land (and now demolished tower) was owned by the Melville Family. After several changes in ownership, it was passed down to Henry Dundas through marriage. The castle is said to have been visited by George IV, Sir Walter Scott, and Queen Victoria.

Around the castle, there are several beautiful walking/hiking pathways that are both family and dog-friendly. River Esk runs through the property and can be seen from the bridge towards one of the pathways.
