Alternative to a registry.

We don’t have a registry, but if you would like to send a gift or send something to celebrate our love, please go to our HoneyFund (link below) where you can send us monetary gifts. The money will go towards our wedding, our trip to Indonesia, and Chrys’ debilitating spending problem (for legal purposes, this is a joke). Think of it as a virtual hong bao (the Chinese red envelopes).

What is Hong Bao?

Hong Bao or 红包 is the Chinese tradition of giving money in red envelopes for special occasions, such as birthdays, Chinese New Years, or weddings. To embrace Chrys' Chinese-Indonesian background, we have decided to adopt the use of ang pao (or hong bao) for our registry. Traditionally, guests would give cash as gifts in red envelopes to signify goodwill for the newlyweds. This can be done in person during the days of our celebrations, or be done online.

We’ve set up a HoneyFund account for this purpose, and it is a trusted site and the number one online wedding gift registry. You can gift us any amount of money you’d like, leave messages, or even keep it anonymous! All the funds collected will be used towards either the wedding in Scotland, the wedding reception in Indonesia, our plane tickets and hotel rooms to Indonesia, and maybe one day after all of the wedding and immigration stress, a honeymoon.

If you can’t work how to use HoneyFund or just don’t trust the site, feel free to contact Michael or Chrys and we can set up an easier method gift giving.
