FAQs
For Scotland
-
Unfortunately, unless it is stated in your invitation, we cannot cater to additional guests or children since we are having a small and intimate ceremony.
-
The dress code is formal attire. We would love to see our loved ones dressed up for our special day. Of course, kilts are always welcome.
There will be a slight gravel path between the castle to the marquee, so please keep this in mind when you are choosing your footwear.
-
Yes. there is free parking at the venue! The easiest way to get to Melville Castle is by car, so we would suggest getting an uber or taxi. You can also take a bus from Edinburgh city centre or airport, but as the entrance to the castle is quite big, prepare to have a 10-20 minute walk from the castle entrance to the castle itself.
-
Unfortunately, neither of us is Jeff Bezos and as amazing that would be, we cannot provide accommodation for everyone. You are more than welcome to stay at the venue with us or book your own rooms at nearby lodgings. You can see our recommended lodgings here.
-
The RSVP page is locked by a password, which should be included in your formal invitation. If you tried putting the password in and it still doesn’t work, feel free to message either of us so we can help you step by step.
If you’re trying to RSVP without knowing the password, we sincerely apologise for not being able to invite everyone we love. We plan to have a small and intimate ceremony, and inviting more people for the reception. Plus, weddings are so expensive :’(
-
We are planning to live stream the ceremony for our friends and family who cannot attend in person. More information will be given closer to the date.
-
We are having a small and intimate ceremony with our closest friends and family. Due to limited space and financial budget, we can only accommodate a small number of people in our ceremony but we still want to celebrate and party with a big number of people for our reception.
For Indonesia
-
If not specifically told by the bride or groom, we cannot cater to additional guests that wasn't pre-approved beforehand since everyone will have assigned seatings.
The event will also be strictly no children under 14.
-
The celebration we are planning in Indonesia will only be a wedding reception. The ceremony will only be held in Scotland. This reception is for (mostly) Chrys’ friends and family to celebrate our love and marriage together.
The reception will not be a Chinese/Indonesian wedding style with 800 people. It will a somewhat intimate celebration with around 100 guests, including a sit down six-course meal, speeches, cake cutting (because we have to have another cake), dancing, and an after party.
-
Those invited should have received their invitation now. We hope to see you there! <3
